GlobeX Data is working with several resellers in South Asia, South East Asia, and Asia Pacific to start sales in 2Q 2020

GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCMKTS:SWISF), the cybersecurity specialist, has seen an increase in demand for its Swiss-hosted secure document management and secure communications cloud services stemming from the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

In a statement, the company said cyberattacks globally are up as more and more people work remotely with unsecured internet connections.

GlobeX Data said it is working with several resellers in South Asia, South East Asia, and Asia Pacific, in order to start sales in the second quarter of 2020.

Some of those projects the company said it is working on are large multi-million dollar and multi-year projects spearheaded by financial institutions and governments.

GlobeX Data said it has signed distribution agreements in the SAARC, South East Asia and APAC regions covering Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, the Maldives, India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands of Fiji.

The targeted industries are businesses in the financial services, legal services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, large conglomerates, telecom operators and government entities.

"With a sharp increase in-office employees working from home in unsecured networks, there is a sharp increase in demand for secure email services and document management tools such as ours, like DigitalSafe, Custodia and PrivaTalk Messenger,” said GlobeX CEO Alain Ghiai.

“We are working around the clock with these distributors in order to train them and prepare them for the surge they are facing for secure cloud services. Our operations remain normal and our staff is taking all the precautions necessary and recommended by the WHO in order to remain safe from COVID-19. There is a definite increase in secure services and the company is preparing for this increase, in partnership with our distributors worldwide."

Headquartered in New York and Toronto, GlobeX has developed a suite of cloud-based storage, disaster recovery, document management and encrypted email tools for communication.
