McCarthy & Stone develops and manages retirement homes

McCarthy & Stone PLC (LON:MCS) announced its chief financial officer Rowan Baker is stepping down to take the same role at private construction firm Laing O’Rourke.

The retirement communities developer appointed Martin Abell as a replacement.

Abell previously held similar roles at pharmaceutical services provider Clinigen Group PLC (LON:CLIN) and FTSE 250 professional recruiter Hays PLC (LON:HAS).

Abell is joining on 26 May while Rowan will leave on 1 August to ensure a smooth handover.

Share dipped 2% to 71.5p on Tuesday at the opening bell.
