Ozop Surgical Corp (OTCPINK:OZSC) announced Tuesday that Power Conversion Technologies Inc (PCTI) is participating in a bid to manufacture power converter modules for the US Air Force.

The bid, led by a defense contractor, involves manufacturing the modules for two prototype flight-line power carts that will help in the Air Force’s equipment and communications modernization effort known as “Flightline of the Future.”

According to a statement by Ozop, the Air Force is looking to switch from its fleet of 4,500 older diesel engine generators to pure battery-powered carts.

In a statement, Ozop told shareholders: “Management believes that with its numerous years of experience in the field working with the Air Force, other branches of the DOD (Department of Defense) as well as previous similar successful projects with this client, it is well positioned to be selected for this contract.”

Ozop said PCTI, a private company it acquired in February, estimates the average revenue per cart is between $80,000 and $100,000 depending on the quantity.

“We had an excellent collaborative relationship with this client on a previous project,” PCTI president Catherine Chis told investors.

“Our team would enjoy working with them again on this important opportunity for the modernization effort for the Air Force.”

PCTI serves clients in several industries including energy storage, shore power, DEWs, microgrid, telecommunications, military, transportation, renewable energy, aerospace and mission-critical defense systems. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, all branches of the US Department of Defense, including the US Army and the US Air Force, and NASA as well as other global military organizations.

Ozop Surgical is a Florida-based company that manufactures endoscopic instruments, surgical implants and other devices focused on neurological issues and pain management.
