American Rebel Holdings Inc (OTCQB:AREB) told investors on Friday it was seeing strong sales of its concealed carry backpacks, as record gun sales continue across the United Stataes.

Sales of the backpacks for June are on a pace similar to sales in December last year, the company, which is based in Lenexa, Kansas, and Nashville, Tennessee, said in a statement.

It comes after on June 5, the company revealed that it had seen an increase in sales of its gun safes and concealed carry backpacks driven by a wave of Americans shopping for firearms.

"I've always believed that there is a large group of people that would like to conceal a handgun if they had a product that would allow them to do it safely and discreetly," said American Rebel CEO Andy Ross in a statement.

"Our Concealed Carry Backpacks give them the ability to do that."

Ross added that the firm's backpacks were designed for everyday use and that its "Protection Pocket" provided an isolated compartment so people can be "concealed and safe" and yet have easy and quick access to their handgun when needed.

"To date we have primarily sold our backpacks direct to the consumer on our website and on Amazon, but we're now getting interest from retailers ordering our backpacks for their stores," he added.

"Our backpacks have plenty of storage for everything you need for your day. Our Protection Pocket is isolated from the other compartments and is accessible from either side of the backpack. Also, our backpack doesn't look tactical in nature and doesn't draw unwanted attention."

American Rebel sells coats and backpacks to hold concealed weapons priced between $69 to $200.

The US gun safe market is worth $2 billion and the concealed carry market is worth over $1 billion and both are poised for continued growth as gun sales have increased over 60% since 2010 and there are an estimated 400 million guns in the US alone, according to industry estimates.
