Buds & Duds: Acreage up on new Canopy merger, Terra Tech down more than 6%

The North American Marijuana Index nudged lower to 95 points today.

Terra Tech Corp. (OTCQX:TRTC) was down more than 6%. For its first quarter the company brought in of more than 4 million, compared to more than $2 million. Terra Tech's gross profit was $2.34 million, compared to $1.60 million for the same quarter last year.

Acreage Holdings (CSE: ACRG.U) (OTCQX: ACRGF) was up more than 18% today. Acreage, together with Canopy Growth Corporation today announced they have changed their merger agreement. The new contract specifies Canopy to pay Acreage shareholders $37.5M upfront cash payment .Its also agreed to loan $100M to Acreage subsidiary Acreage Hempco, with an initial $50M at 6.1% interest. Acreage CEO Kevin Murphy will resign today.
