GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCQB:SWISF) has acquired the domain name Sekur.com for its Sekur communications suite, it said Monday.
Toronto- and New York-based GlobeX said it had been trying to acquire the .com domain for six months.
GlobeX said it purchased the domain for US$13,000 including broker fees, a negotiated amount from the original US$18,000 asking price. The firm already owns the domain Sekur.ch.

Sekur includes encrypted messaging with a “self-destruct” timer powered by GlobeX’s PrivaTalk platform, as well as an encrypted email service run on its Custodia program.
GlobeX said it plans to push the Sekur brand as a secure communications suite in addition to its existing DigitalSafe brand, which is the company's document management and collaboration suite.
The cybersecurity firm will offer Sekur as a secure and private alternative mostly for business users but said that consumers who are in search of more private and secure email and messaging solutions may be interested as they migrate to working from home.
GlobeX told shareholders it has already received interest from its partner America Movil, and plans to offer Sekur to all its global partners, starting in August.
The service will be available for purchase by the end of July at Sekur.com.
