Medallion Resources Limited (CVE:MDL) (OTCMKTS:MLLOF) announced on Wednesday that it has appointed experienced chartered accountant and finance professional Robert Doyle as the company’s new chief financial officer and corporate secretary.
Doyle, a principal of Pacific Opportunity Capital - a highly regarded Vancouver-based corporate services firm - will take over from Tom Arnould, who has stepped down as Medallion's longtime CFO after an orderly transition period.
“It’s great to receive the input of Bob and the support of the Pacific Opportunity team as we focus on building the company,” Medallion Resources CEO Mark Saxon said in a statement.
“Furthermore, and on behalf of the entire board, I’d like to thank Tom Arnould for his many years of excellent service to Medallion as well as assistance in the transfer of the CFO and Corporate Secretary functions.”
Medallion Resources is focused on extracting rare earths from monazite, a byproduct mineral of heavy mineral sands mining. Unlike traditional rare earths mining, which can be laborious and expensive, Medallion is pioneering a process that extracts what is known as magnet metals, or more specifically neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr), from monazite.
