Mirasol Resources Ltd (CVE:MRZ) (OTCPINK:MRZLF), the project generator focused on the Americas, told investors that CEO Norm Pitcher was leaving to pursue other opportunities and that a process to find his successor was underway.
"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Mr Pitcher for his leadership," said chairman Patrick Evans in a brief statement on Monday.
"He successfully guided the company through a period of transition, which has secured Mirasol's position as a leading project generator and explorer in Chile and Argentina".
Mirasol is focused on advancing profitable precious metal and copper deposits, operating via a hybrid joint venture and self-funded drilling model.
Its efforts are focused on two highly productive mining regions: the Atacama-Puna region of northern Chile and the Santa Cruz Province in southern Argentina.
These regions boast world-class gold, silver and copper mines operated by some of the world’s largest mining companies.
Under its hybrid model, the company first secures ownership of the property, completes preliminary exploration work and defines drill targets.
Then, the company assesses the risk-reward trade-off to determine whether to invest further by drill-testing the property itself or to team up with quality partners to test the property via an earn-in agreement.
