Sethi joins the company from Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), where she led the company’s location strategy and managed a $1 billion investment and policy initiative to build more affordable housing in communities where Facebook operates.
She is also a licensed architect and has experience leading real-estate development finance and management projects around the world. Sethi will remain a board member of Alto Housing, a policy group, and a strategic advisory to companies and organizations addressing the housing crisis in California.

Sethi will lead day-to-day operations as a core member of the executive team and oversee policy and communications, the company said.

American Battery, based in Nevada, is focused on supplying battery metals through its three divisions: lithium-ion battery recycling, extraction technology and primary resources. The company recently announced the groundbreaking of its lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Fernley, Nevada.
