Walcott Resources engages geological consultant to steer exploration at Australian silver projects

Walcott is a British Columbia-based company involved in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in Canada and Australia.

Walcott Resources Ltd (CNSX:WAL) (OTCMKTS:WALRF) (FRA:WR2) has engaged Geoff Reed of ReedLeyton Consulting to act as technical advisor in a role with the initial mandate of reviewing all technical data to date and overseeing Australian exploration activities.

Through this appointment, the company is confident of making strong progress at its Tyr Silver Project in northern New South Wales and its Century South Silver-Zinc Project in northwest Queensland.

Reed, who is based in southern New South Wales, is a senior consulting geologist with a background in NI 43-101 technical reporting, mineral resource modelling, design, and implementation of drilling programs as well as mine site production and development reconciliation.

He said on the appointment: “We are excited by the opportunity to work with the team at Walcott and to help design the next phase of work at the company’s projects.

“Tyr and Century South have compelling histories and excellent further discovery potential.”

Experience "will be invaluable"

Walcott's chief executive officer David Thornley-Hall said: “We are excited to be working with Geoff at ReedLeyton Consulting.

“His strong technical background and experience will be invaluable to us and we look forward to working together as we implement exploration activities and strategies at Tyr and Century South.”

Work continues at Tyr and Century South 

Project related work continues at Tyr and Century South ahead of pending fieldwork.

Landholder access letters, scopes of work and plans for the notice of entry have been sent to the surface landholders at Tyr and Century South. 

At Tyr, the landholders have permitted access for exploration. 

The technical team plans to travel to Tyr by November 27 and at Century South the technical team is looking to begin fieldwork around December 1.
