New Pacific Metals Corp (CVE:NUAG) (OTCQX:NUPMF) (FRA:3N7) reported it has found high-grade gold and silver from exploration at its Silverstrike Project in Bolivia and is now pooling the data to identify initial drill targets.

Recent fieldwork has included mapping and sampling focused on the Silverstrike Central and South areas of the project. In all, 452 samples were collected, including 441 channel chip samples and 11 mine dump grabs.

New Pacific said it had identified three significant new zones of gold and silver-rich polymetallic mineralization, namely, at the Manco Kapac, Tatitu Kkollu North and Tatitu Kkollu South areas.

Assays from these three zones, along with those from Silverstrike North, announced in September, including 1,865 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver and 0.96% lead over 2 metres (m), will now be evaluated.

The Manco Kapac mine area is characterized by mine dumps scattered along a north-east trending corridor, which is around 700m long and up to 200m wide, said the firm.

Here, seven dump grab samples were collected and returned average grades of 0.58 g/t gold, 788 g/t silver, 6.07% lead, 5.48% zinc and 2.79% copper. The firm said 49 channel chip samples were also taken, including 21 continuous chip samples from an accessible adit, which returned an average grade of 2.3 g/t gold and 164 g/t silver, along with lead, zinc and copper results.

Elsewhere, Tatitu Kkollu North is a silver-rich zone associated with a north-north-east (NNE) trending hydrothermal breccia, estimated to be a minimum of 50m wide and 200m long.

Here, a total of 61 samples - two mine dumps and 59 channel chips - were collected. The two mine dump samples returned values of 1,380 g/t silver, 2.44% lead, 0.83% zinc and 2.51% copper and 105 g/t silver, 0.69% lead and 13.25% zinc respectively.

Tatitu Kkollu South hosts gold-rich polymetallic mineralization and a single dump grab sample collected from a historic exploration adit here returned 1.66 g/t gold, 154 g/t silver, 0.69% lead, 0.3% zinc, and 7.97% copper.

A total of 277 channel chip samples were collected over three key outcropping areas at the zone.

New Pacific acquired a 98% interest in the Silverstrike project in December 2019. The explorer also owns the Silver Sand project in the Potosi Department of Bolivia.
