Clean Seed Capital appoints Colin Rush as its president

Clean Seed Capital Group (TSX-V:CSX) Ltd has appointed Colin Rush as its president after Gary Anderson retired from the position and transitioned to a senior advisor role to the executive team. Anderson will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors of the company.

Rush is a senior operations leader with over 25 years' experience in the North American agricultural equipment and agricultural technology sectors.

Graeme Lempriere, CEO of Clean Seed said in a statement: "Colin Rush's track record of success in the agricultural space, significant network both domestically and abroad and outstanding contributions to Clean Seed to date make him the perfect choice to serve as president of our organization as we move to commercialize the SMART Seeder MAX in North America, grow the SMART Seeder MAX distribution network and deploy the Mini-MAX to India.”

Prior to joining Clean Seed, Rush held senior positions with John Deere, Case IH (CNHi), and JCB Canada. In 2010, he assumed the role of senior director of specialty business, North America with Case IH, one of the world's largest agricultural equipment manufacturers with significant planting and seeding equipment in all major marketplaces. 

During his tenure at CNHi, Rush significantly increased North American sales and market share for the company's nearly $1 billion division of planting, seeding, tillage, and application products. Subsequent to his time as Case IH, he became the head of Canadian operations for JCB, one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction and agricultural equipment. 

Rush holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanized Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Business Administration in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph.
