Alba Mineral Resources PLC (LON:ALBA) updates investors on progress on its portfolio of mining and oil projects. Alba Executive Chairman George Frangeskides gives Proactive London a comprehensive run down on progress at Horse Hill, Clogau, Limmerick and Greenland projects. Among highlights are ongoing activities towards the re-opening of the Clogau-St Davids gold mine, the UK's largest historical gold producer, as well as an extensive regional exploration programme which will shortly be commencing across the Dolgellau gold belt.
This work will involve the collection of up to 3,000 samples covering about 50 per cent of the total extent of the gold belt.
“By the use of systematic, modern exploration techniques, our objective is to unearth one or more gold deposits to rival the Clogau-St Davids mine,” said Frangeskides.
Meanwhile, in Ireland, one or more zinc targets will be drilled later in the spring. And in Greenland, Alba has completed an important technical study in relation to the Inglefield polymetallic project.
“We remain very positive about all of our Greenland projects, and intend to continue to be one of the prime movers and explorers in that vast, mineral-rich country,” said Frangeskides.
