First Phosphate Corp. - First Phosphate positioned to lead North America's LFP battery market, says Hallgarten

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS) is strategically positioned to capitalize on North America's growing demand for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries by building strong partnerships and advancing its Quebec-based projects, according to Hallgarten.

A new report from Hallgarten highlighted the Canadian company’s role in the burgeoning lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery market.

While phosphate’s agricultural uses are well-known, Hallgarten analysts stressed that the company’s value lies in leveraging North America’s growing demand for EV batteries and energy storage solutions.

According to the note, First Phosphate is poised to benefit from shifting energy storage trends. "The proposition of First Phosphate is to capitalize upon the value-added component that building an EV production chain in North America affords," analysts wrote, pointing to the rising appeal of the LFP battery format.

Despite the dominance of traditional lithium-ion batteries, LFP is gaining traction due to lower costs, simplicity, and decreased reliance on cobalt, which is often controlled by China.

“Alarm bells are ringing all over as to the risks of Chinese domination of the EV space,” Hallgarten noted.

Beyond electric vehicles, LFP batteries are also used in energy storage solutions, including Tesla’s Powerwall and large-scale renewable energy projects. Hallgarten believes this diversified market potential will be key to First Phosphate’s success.

The report emphasized First Phosphate’s aggressive partnership-building strategy to establish its position in the battery value chain. "First Phosphate has become a company on a mission to secure partnerships on all fronts and at all levels," analysts wrote, noting its Quebec-based properties as the foundation for future production.

The company's forthcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) and Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) are seen as critical milestones.

Hallgarten analysts also drew comparisons to Arianne Phosphate, citing First Phosphate’s closer proximity to port and its more cohesive business plan.

The firm initiated a "Long" rating with a 12-month target price of C$0.70.
