Fineqia International Inc (CSE:FNQ, OTC:FNQQF) announced that it has appointed Reeve Collins, co-founder and former CEO of Tether, to its advisory board.
Collins played a key role in the creation of Tether, the first stablecoin to gain widespread adoption in global cryptocurrency markets and decentralized finance.
In addition to his involvement with Tether, Collins co-founded BLOCKv, an NFT platform, and SmartMedia Technologies, a Web3 engagement platform used by major brands and enterprises.
Collins is also the chairman and co-founder of WeFi, a decentralized finance platform that integrates stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets into its services.
He additionally co-founded STBL.com, formerly Pi Protocol, with Fineqia CEO Bundeep Singh Rangar. The platform is designed to retain yield from tokenized assets such as US Treasuries and money market funds, and operates on Ethereum and Solana networks.
Fineqia said that Collins’ expertise in blockchain infrastructure, product development, and asset tokenization aligns with its mission to build compliant digital asset investment products.
"Fineqia is building public investment products with long-term value, transparency, and structure, traits that will define the next era of digital assets," Collins said in a statement. "I'm excited to support the company in bridging traditional finance with crypto-native innovation."
His appointment follows Fineqia’s January launch of its first Exchange-Traded Note (ETN), the Fineqia FTSE Cardano Enhanced Yield ETN, signaling the company's entry into Europe’s regulated ETP market. The company aims to bridge blockchain technology with institutional financial products.
"Reeve's track record of launching transformative platforms speaks volumes," Fineqia chairman Martin Graham said. "His insight into tokenization, product design, and blockchain infrastructure will help shape the future of compliant, high-utility digital asset products."
