Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN) has appointed interim CEO Jeremy Krol to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Krol, who has been serving as interim CEO since July 2025, will continue in that role while joining the board, the enterprise cloud platform company said in a statement.
Krol joined Phunware in June 2024 as chief operating officer and brings more than two decades of experience in engineering, finance and technology startups. Before joining the company, he served as a startup advisor for Platform Calgary, a technology accelerator hub.
Krol will continue to oversee daily operations and strengthen Phunware’s business and sales initiatives, while advancing integrations of new technologies, the company said.
“We are pleased to welcome Jeremy to Phunware’s Board of Directors,” said Quyen Du, board director and chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee. “Jeremy’s strategic insight and deep familiarity with our business and operations remains invaluable in the steer of Phunware, especially as we continue to finesse and execute on our growth plans.”
