1911 Gold unlocks key underground access level – ICYMI

1911 Gold Corp (TSX-V:AUMB, OTCQB:AUMBF, FRA:2KY) earlier this week provided an update on progress at its True North mine, where the company has reached a key milestone in its dewatering program, enabling access to a critical underground level.
In an interview with Proactive, CEO Shaun Heinrichs said the development marks an important step toward planned test mining activities. Heinrichs noted that the level historically handled the majority of ore movement and remains central to future operations.
The company intends to maximize the use of the Level 26 loading pocket area in the near term, while continuing rehabilitation work on additional infrastructure. Heinrichs added that this level also provides access to some of the company’s most prospective resource targets, which are expected to underpin early years of the mine plan.
The CEO indicated that while further work is required, including water removal and infrastructure upgrades, progress is expected to accelerate. He said the remaining water is anticipated to be cleared within four to five weeks, allowing the company to assess key areas by the end of May.
Heinrichs also highlighted that much of the existing infrastructure, including electrical and ventilation systems, remains in place and can be refurbished efficiently.
Alongside underground development, 1911 Gold Corp is advancing upgrades at its mill facility. Heinrichs reported that commissioning remains on track for late June or early July, with additional improvements, including a new crusher circuit, expected later in the year. He described the mill progress as encouraging, noting that the facility is expected to be operational in stages.
