Standard Uranium completes initial drilling at Corvo, finds radioactive intervals

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF, FRA:9SU0) said on Monday it has completed its inaugural drill program at its Corvo uranium project in northern Saskatchewan, with early results showing multiple zones of anomalous radioactivity across several target areas.
The program, conducted near Wollaston Lake, totalled 2,457 metres across 10 reconnaissance drill holes testing the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Tribeca targets for basement-hosted uranium mineralization.
Seven of the 10 holes intersected intervals of anomalous radioactivity exceeding 300 counts per second, with a combined 23 metres of radioactive zones identified, the company said.
The mineralization was hosted in pegmatite, paragneiss and granitoid orthogneiss units, often associated with hydrothermally altered fault zones and quartz-carbonate veining.
The project is subject to a three-year earn-in agreement with Aventis Energy, which can earn a 75% interest by funding C$6 million in exploration. The winter 2026 drill program was funded by Aventis and operated by Standard Uranium.
Standard Uranium said the drilling also confirmed favorable structural settings, including fault zones with brecciation, fracturing and shearing, features typically linked to uranium deposits in the region.
Geochemical assay results from the drill core samples are pending and will be used to refine targets for future exploration, the company added.
The Corvo project spans more than 29 kilometres of prospective structural corridors and has seen limited historical drilling, with the latest campaign marking the first drilling activity on the property in over four decades.
“Intersecting twenty-three metres of composite radioactivity across seven holes on our inaugural drill program is an outstanding result and demonstrates the prospectivity of the Corvo project,” said Sean Hillacre, president and vice-president of exploration at Standard Uranium.
“With support from our partners at Aventis, we are well positioned to follow up on these highly promising first-pass results with additional exploration programs and drilling.”
The company said it is planning further surface work and a second phase of drilling to follow up on the initial results and test additional targets along more than 25 kilometres of untested strike length.
