AtaiBeckley launches mental health patient impact grant program

AtaiBeckley Inc. (NASDAQ:ATAI, XETRA:9VC) has announced the launch of a new Patient Impact Grant Program aimed at supporting non-profit organizations working to improve mental health outcomes through community initiatives, education and research.
The clinical-stage biotechnology company said the program will award three grants of $20,000 each to mission-driven organizations focused on advancing mental health support and patient outcomes.
According to the company, the grants will be distributed across three funding areas: community support, education and stigma reduction, and ecosystem innovation and independent research.
The community support category is intended for organizations working to improve equitable access to existing and emerging mental health treatments, particularly for underserved or historically excluded populations.
Education and stigma reduction grants will support patient-centered awareness initiatives designed to improve public understanding of mental health and reduce stigma.
The ecosystem innovation and independent research category will focus on ethical innovation and research initiatives intended to strengthen patient support systems and expand access to care.
Grant recipients will be selected by a review panel that includes Kevin Craig, chief medical officer at AtaiBeckley, Caroline Lilley, the company’s head of patient impact, and Dr Jessica Jackson, vice president of alliance development at Mental Health America. The company said Jackson will participate as an external reviewer, while Mental Health America will not be involved in administering the broader grant program.
Craig said the company launched the initiative during Mental Health Awareness Month to support organizations conducting “vital, often under-resourced, work within communities and the mental health ecosystem.”
“We know that real progress in mental health doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens when we innovate responsibly, listen to patients, and invest in the people driving change on the ground,” Craig said in a statement. “We are proud to amplify that impact through this Grant Program, and we look forward to reviewing the applications.”
Lilley said the program is intended to complement scientific innovation with broader ecosystem support, noting that patient outcomes are influenced by factors including awareness, access, trust and community infrastructure.
“AtaiBeckley Patient Impact aims to support progress across these broader drivers of mental health outcomes, and the Patient Impact Grant Program represents the next evolution of this commitment, introducing a transparent and structured way to support independent initiatives working to strengthen these foundations,” Lilley said.
Applications for the program are now open and will close on September 1.
Shares of AtaiBeckley added 1.3% on Thursday morning.
