Quantum Blockchain Technologies clears latest technical step on way to live testing

Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) said it has generated the first versions of its Method C AI Oracle using operational data collected directly from an ASIC manufacturer’s Bitcoin mining rig, marking the next technical step before planned live testing.
The AIM-listed blockchain R&D company said the structured dataset, first flagged in its 8 June update, had allowed its University of Milan research team to train learning models on data produced by the manufacturer’s own mining platform.
QBT said the data were of the quality needed for AI training, but differed significantly from those previously produced using the Bitaxe Gamma platform based on the Bitmain BM1370 ASIC. As a result, the company said recent work focused on retargeting the AI models’ learning objectives to fit the manufacturer’s SHA-256 architecture.
The company has also developed and tested a more compact version of the AI Oracle alongside the original implementation, with both being assessed for predictive capability, computational efficiency and deployment characteristics.
Once performance reaches a level deemed satisfactory by the R&D team, QBT said the AI Oracle will be deployed on the manufacturer’s Mining Development Kit for live testing under operating conditions connected to a live mining pool.
A technical review meeting with the ASIC manufacturer’s engineering team is also being scheduled to assess progress and agree the next stages of the programme.
