Century Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LCE, OTCQX:CYDVF) has retained its Outperform rating from Noble Capital Markets, which pointed to the successful conversion of lithium carbonate from the company's Angel Island project in Nevada into high-purity lithium metal and battery cells.

According to Noble, the lithium carbonate was processed into high-purity lithium metal by Alpha-En Corporation using its proprietary extraction and electrodeposition technology, then incorporated into cylindrical battery cells manufactured by EaglePicher Technologies.

The work was completed under the U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, which supports the development of technologies considered critical to national defense.

Noble said testing demonstrated that the lithium metal anodes met EaglePicher's performance specifications, delivering higher operating voltages and improved power performance compared with control cells.

“These results highlight the suitability of Angel Island lithium for advanced, high-energy battery applications while validating the project's potential to supply a domestic source of battery-grade lithium for defense-related technologies,” analysts wrote.

Noble characterized the collaboration between Century Lithium, Alpha-En and EaglePicher as an important milestone in establishing a secure, vertically integrated U.S. battery supply chain. The firm said that by demonstrating the conversion of domestically sourced lithium into high-performance lithium metal anodes and finished battery cells, the project supports broader U.S. efforts to reduce dependence on foreign critical mineral supply chains while strengthening domestic battery manufacturing capabilities for future defense applications.

“A combination of large-scale reserves, long mine life, improved capital efficiency, strong projected returns, and an integrated processing model positions Century Lithium as a strategically important domestic lithium development company with significant leverage to long-term lithium demand growth,” Noble analysts wrote.

The firm also pointed to Century's FAST-41 designation as a factor supporting accelerated federal permitting and enhancing the project's visibility with federal agencies and stakeholders.
