Bezos's Blue Origin extends 10-year wait as New Glenn rocket misses launch window

The first launch for Jeff Bezos's New Glenn rocket has been delayed and missed its launch window after technical issues.
A decade in development, New Glenn stands at 90 metres tall, which is larger than the current main Falcon rocket used by Elon Musk's SpaceX but smaller than the new huge Starship from SpaceX.
A message from Blue Origin on Monday stated that the launch for its inaugural mission was "standing down" as an attempt to fix a vehicle subsystem issue "will take us beyond our launch window".
"We’re reviewing opportunities for our next launch attempt," the company said, having been hit by weather conditions for landing in the Atlantic earlier in the window.
Last week, the company said New Glenn's NG-1 mission was targeting a launch on Friday, January 10, from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
The NG-1 mission is the company's first national security space launch certification flight.
