Forum Energy Metals Corp - Baselode Energy CEO details Geiger Energy merger and uranium exploration vision - ICYMI

Baselode Energy Corp (TSX-V:FIND, OTCQB:BSENF) CEO James Sykes talked with Proactive about the strategic merger with Forum Energy Metals Corp to create Geiger Energy, a new uranium exploration company with substantial assets in Canada's premier uranium basins.

Forum's CEO Rebecca Hunter also joined the conversation to outline Geiger’s operational roadmap and drilling plans.

Proactive: James, you've described Geiger Energy as a powerhouse uranium explorer. What makes this combination of Aberdeen and Hook so compelling from a technical standpoint?

James Sykes (JS): Both those projects are on the cusp of discoveries. That’s what really makes this merger compelling. Forum has great projects in the Athabasca Basin and their flagship project, Aberdeen, in the Thelon Basin is absolutely wonderful. Baselode has similarly strong projects. This merger gives us exposure to both assets and the technical knowledge behind them. I’ve had a lucrative career with several big discoveries. Rebecca knows Thelon better than anyone. It’s a synergistic opportunity.

Rebecca, you'll be leading Geiger Energy post-merger. What excites you most about combining forces at this pivotal time for uranium?

Rebecca Hunter (RH): The biggest thing is we can now explore Aberdeen at the scale needed. It’s a marriage of a great asset and capital. We’ll be drilling within weeks. It's also about teaming up minds. I strongly believe Aberdeen is the next big high-grade uranium play — and James sees that too. That shared vision will make the company succeed.

The new drilling at Aberdeen targets ten high priority zones. What’s your strategy for maximizing discovery potential in this first campaign?

RH: Aberdeen has about 50 targets. We’ve prioritized ten for now. We’re looking for scale. Two main ones are Loki and Bjorn. Loki has shallow sandstone cover and strong clay alteration with elevated uranium levels — signs of a major system. Bjorn has structural corridors and nearby drill results — it’s a strong candidate too.

James, the Hook project is known for its large scale alteration systems. What’s next for that asset under the Geiger banner?

JS: Hook will be our winter 2026 focus. The target area remains open at depth — we’ve chased it down to 500 metres and need to go deeper. It’s a large alteration zone flashing strong geochemical signals. Following a successful Aberdeen campaign, Hook will be next. The groundwork is there — it’s a discovery waiting to happen.

Rebecca, just finally, what’s your vision for Geiger going forward?

RH: It’s about discovery. I’m results-oriented. This merger brings great assets and great people together. Aberdeen will be our short-term focus, but Hook and other projects are important too. We’re here to get results and create value.
