Kenvue Inc - Kenvue announces CEO transition and strategic review

Kenvue (NYSE:KVUE) has announced a CEO transition and the launch of a strategic review process aimed at enhancing shareholder value and improving the long-term performance of the consumer health company.

Kirk Perry, a Kenvue director with more than 30 years of experience in the consumer goods and technology sectors, has been appointed interim CEO, effective immediately.

He replaces Thibaut Mongon, who has stepped down as CEO and from the company’s board of directors. The leadership change comes amid reported pressure from activist investors concerned with recent performance.

Perry, who joined Kenvue’s board in December 2024, brings a background that includes senior leadership roles at Circana, Google, and Procter & Gamble.

An executive search for a permanent CEO is being conducted.

The company also said on Monday that its board of directors has initiated a comprehensive strategic review to evaluate a broad set of potential alternatives for the company’s operations and brand portfolio, which includes Neutrogena, Tylenol, Listerine, Johnson's Baby, Band-Aid, Aveeno, Zyrtec, and Nicorette.

A newly formed Strategic Review Committee will oversee the process, with the assistance of Centerview Partners and McKinsey & Company.

Alongside the leadership and strategy announcements, Kenvue reported select preliminary financial results for the second quarter of 2025.

Net sales declined approximately 4% year-over-year, with organic sales down 4.2%.

The company expects diluted earnings per share of $0.21 to $0.22 and adjusted diluted EPS of $0.28 to $0.29.

Full quarterly results are scheduled for release on August 7, 2025, at which time Kenvue will also provide an updated outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year.

Shares of Kenvue added 0.4% at about $21 following the update.
