Supermicro shares rise on large-scale shipments of Nvidia Blackwell Ultra systems

Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares moved higher Friday after the company announced it had started large-scale shipments of Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, ETR:NVD)'s Blackwell Ultra AI systems, boosting investor confidence in the company's role in the expanding AI infrastructure market.
The company said the offerings are pre-validated at the system, rack, and data center levels through its Data Center Building Block Solutions program, allowing organizations to deploy them immediately upon delivery.
Supermicro’s lineup now includes more than 10 models built on NVIDIA Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra technologies.
According to the company, the systems are designed to support a wide range of applications, including large-scale AI training, real-time inference, multimodal workloads, agent-based AI, and physical AI deployments.
"Supermicro has the best track record of fast and successful deployments of new Nvidia technologies," Supermicro CEO Charles Liang said.
"Through Supermicro Data Center Building Block Solutions with our expertise in on-site deployment, we enable turn-key delivery of the highest-performance AI platform — critical for customers seeking to invest in cutting-edge technology.”
Shares of Supermicro were up 3.8% in early trade on Friday.
