GE Aerospace raises full-year guidance after delivering strong Q3 report

GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) reported strong financial results for the third quarter, with revenue, profit, and cash flow all rising sharply from the prior year.
The company also raised its full-year guidance across key metrics, citing strong demand and improved output.
Adjusted revenue is now expected in the range of $35.1 billion with high-teens percentage growth, operating profit is projected at $8.65 billion to $8.85 billion, adjusted EPS is expected between $6.00 and $6.20, and free cash flow is forecast at $7.1 billion to $7.3 billion, maintaining conversion above 100%.
For the quarter ending September 30, GE Aerospace reported revenue of $12.2 billion, up 24% from $9.84 billion a year earlier.
Profit increased 33% to $2.52 billion, while operating profit rose 26% to $2.3 billion.
Profit margins expanded to 20.7%, up 150 basis points year-over-year, with an operating profit margin of 20.3%.
Continuing earnings per share (EPS) on a GAAP basis were $2.04, up 31%, and adjusted EPS came in at $1.66, a 44% increase.
The company generated $2.56 billion in cash from operating activities, a 34% increase over the prior year, and free cash flow rose 30% to $2.36 billion.
“GE Aerospace delivered an exceptional quarter with revenue up 26%, EPS up 44%, and more than 130% free cash flow conversion,” GE Aerospace CEO H Lawrence Culp Jr said in a statement.
“Given the strength of our year-to-date results and our expectations for the fourth quarter, we're raising our full-year guidance across the board."
Shares of GE Aerospace added 2.2% post-earnings.
