Galliford Try lands spot on new govt programme to build English schools

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD, FRA:3WC) has landed a spot on the Department for Education’s new Construction Framework 25 (CF25), a £15.4 billion procurement programme that will shape the flow of school and education building work across England for years.
The UK construction group said its Building business has secured places on the framework’s high-value lots for projects above £12 million throughout England, alongside positions on under-£12 million lots in the London, South East and South West regions.
CF25 is set to run for six years, with the option for two additional one-year extensions, providing a long runway of potential opportunities as education estate investment cycles through the system.
Chief executive Bill Hocking said education remains a “cornerstone” of Galliford Try’s activity and its Sustainable Growth Strategy, as the group looks to build on what it described as a strong track record in the sector.
"We are delighted to continue working with our partners at the DfE on this framework that is crucial to delivering the high-quality educational facilities that students up and down the country deserve," Hocking said.
