Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD, FRA:3WC), the construction group, has been appointed to the £1.5bn YORbuild Major Works 2 regional framework for a four-year period.

The company has secured places on two lots, covering projects worth more than £10m and more than £30m.

The framework covers public sector building works for eligible public sector bodies and third sector organisations across Yorkshire and Humber.

It also extends to the North East of England, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and parts of Leicestershire.

Bill Hocking, chief executive of Galliford Try, said the framework was an important route to market for the group's businesses in the region.

He added that the company looked forward to creating more high-quality public facilities with stakeholders over the next four years.

"We are delighted to be working once again with our partners at YORbuild," he added.

The appointment renews a longstanding relationship between Galliford Try and YORbuild, which procures construction work on behalf of public bodies across northern and central England.
