Lumos Diagnostics Holdings Ltd - Lumos Diagnostics advances FebriDx rollout across major US urgent care networks

Lumos Diagnostics Holdings Ltd (ASX:LDX, OTC:LDXHF) has secured the rollout of its FebriDx rapid diagnostic test across more than 30 US urgent care sites and advanced three additional major healthcare groups, representing more than 230 sites, into clinical and economic validation.

Together, the four priority accounts represent more than 430 potential locations and an internally estimated minimum of 2.6 million acute respiratory infection presentations annually.

The progress supports Lumos’ strategy of targeting the 100 largest US urgent care groups, which the company estimates account for around 40% of all urgent care sites in the country.

More than 30 sites move into rollout

A leading regional urgent care group ranked among the top 100 in the US has agreed to deploy FebriDx across its entire network of more than 30 sites.

The group is owned by a major US health system operating more than 200 healthcare locations across a large metropolitan region, including hospitals, urgent care centres, ambulatory clinics and medical practices.

Lumos estimates the urgent care network handles around 200,000 acute respiratory infection presentations each year.

FebriDx is expected to support respiratory illness triage, antibiotic stewardship and standardised clinical workflows, with potential for broader adoption across the health system over time.

“The expedited pace at which this regional urgent care group moved from discussions through to adoption was an encouraging sign of growing clinical confidence in the FebriDx test,” Lumos chief executive officer Doug Ward said.

Three major accounts under validation

Lumos is also conducting clinical and economic validation programs with three tier-one urgent care groups ranked within the top 10, top 25 and top 30 nationally.

Together, the groups operate more than 230 sites and are assessing FebriDx across multiple locations, including its clinical performance, reimbursement potential, workflow integration and health-economic benefits.

Successful validation could support broader deployment across each organisation’s existing network.

“These engagements are consistent with Lumos’ commercialisation approach of focusing resources on large multi-site groups where a successful initial validation can lead to a faster expansion outcome within an existing account,” Ward said.

Building a pathway to standardised adoption

Lumos has introduced a four-stage commercial framework covering qualified opportunities, clinical and economic validation, network rollout and standardised adoption.

The final stage involves FebriDx being embedded into standing orders, triage protocols or routine clinical pathways, supporting repeat orders and scaled use.

The framework follows the pathway established with existing customer WellStreet Urgent Care, where an initial pilot expanded to 44 locations and created a route toward deployment across a network of more than 165 sites.

All US FebriDx sales are made through Lumos’ exclusive distribution agreement with Phase Scientific, with Lumos recognising revenue when products are shipped to the distributor.
