Purepoint Uranium reports strong radioactive intercept at Nova discovery

Purepoint Uranium Group Inc (TSX-V:PTU, OTCQX:PTUUF, FRA:P5X0) said the first phase of its 2026 summer drilling program at the Dorado project delivered a broad radioactive intercept in the final hole completed before a scheduled mid-program break.
Hole NV26-11 intersected 5.6 metres of continuous radioactivity averaging 11,730 counts per second (cps) from the downhole probe, including a peak reading of 53,300 cps, at the Nova Discovery.
The interval, from 337.9 to 343.5 metres, was the widest continuous radioactive zone found during the program. It occurs where two rock types meet, granitic gneiss and pelitic gneiss, in a zone altered by mineral-rich fluids that left it heavily stained with hematite.
Contact zones like this, along with this kind of alteration, are typical signs of the geological conditions favorable for uranium mineralization.
Within the interval, a 1.7-metre section averaged 31,800 cps, including a higher-intensity core of 1.1 metres averaging 43,480 cps.
The radiometric response is consistent with high-grade uranium mineralization previously intersected at Nova, with laboratory assays still pending.
Four drill holes were completed during the first phase of the program, which tested both the Q23 and Nova target areas. The first three holes encountered localized radioactive intervals that added to the company's understanding of the geological setting and structural controls, while NV26-11 provided further information on the continuity and orientation of the Nova mineralized system.
The current drill program is designed to improve understanding of the geometry and continuity of the Nova mineralized system while evaluating additional priority targets across the property.
"This last hole provided another data point supporting our geological model at Nova," said Chris Frostad, CEO of Purepoint Uranium.
"The continuity of the radioactive interval and the strength of the downhole probe response reinforce our understanding of the mineralized system and help guide our exploration priorities when drilling resumes in two weeks. During the break, we will integrate these results with the broader geological dataset before determining our next drilling priorities."
Detailed geological logging, structural interpretation and geochemical sampling are underway during the break, with drilling set to resume in two weeks.
Purepoint operates the Dorado project as part of a 50/50 joint venture with IsoEnergy. The property is located along the eastern margin of Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin and covers a prospective structural corridor considered favourable for unconformity-related uranium mineralization.
Dorado hosts the Nova Discovery, where previous drilling returned assays of up to 8.1% U3O8 over 0.4 metres within 1.62% U3O8 over 2.1 metres.
