Aurum Resources Ltd - Aurum Resources hits 367 g/t gold at Boundiali as drilling extends mineralisation beyond resource

Aurum Resources Ltd (ASX:AUE) has intersected bonanza-grade gold at its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, with drilling returning up to 0.72 metres at 367.05 g/t gold from 485.94 metres at the BMT3 deposit.

The interval was contained within a broader result of 1.76 metres at 150.87 g/t gold and formed part of assays received from 36 diamond holes totalling 9,452 metres across the BMT1, BMT2 and BMT3 deposits. The drilling intersected mineralisation outside the existing resource boundaries, supporting the potential for further growth at the 3.22-million-ounce project.

Other notable BMT3 results included 15.50 metres at 3.88 g/t gold from 179 metres, including 9.50 metres at 6.04 g/t, and 10 metres at 3.46 g/t from 280 metres, including 8 metres at 4.24 g/t.

At BMT1, drilling returned 6.80 metres at 28.76 g/t gold from 120.20 metres, including 2.80 metres at 69.53 g/t, as well as 2.41 metres at 14.38 g/t from 123 metres.

Results from BMT2, where no mineral resource has yet been defined, included 15 metres at 1.05 g/t gold from 112 metres, including 1 metre at 10.29 g/t, and 66.30 metres at 0.61 g/t from 129.70 metres.

Key drill intercepts from the latest drilling include:

BMT1 (8.8Mt @ 1.1 g/t Au for 320koz)

  • 6.80m @ 28.76 g/t Au from 120.20m inc. 2.80m @ 69.53 g/t Au (MBDD389)

  • 8m @ 2.13 g/t Au from 135m inc. 4m @ 3.82 g/t Au (MBDD367).

Aurum managing director Dr Caigen Wang said the results strengthened the case for further resource growth, with high-grade mineralisation extended at depth at BMT3 and additional drilling targeting areas at BMT1 and BMT2 that remain outside the current resource.

“Our latest results from BM continue to build the case for further resource growth at Boundiali. At BMT3, new holes extend high-grade mineralisation at depth, adding to the strong grades already returned along its 2.3km strike. To date, the resource at BMT1, which extends over 2.5km of strike, is limited by historic drilling that is too widely spaced to support an Inferred classification — new infill drilling is now targeting those areas to bring them into the resource, and we expect it to grow. At BMT2, which sits outside the current Mineral Resource for the same reason, today’s results support further growth potential, although more drilling is required before it can be classified.

“We’ve now tested over 1km of strike at BMT2, including parallel mineralised structures, with several assays still pending. Combined with earlier results to the north indicating potential over roughly 1.2km, we see scope to extend BMT2’s mineralised trend beyond 2km with continued drilling success.

“With 16 diamond rigs owned by Aurum now active across Boundiali, these results will feed directly into our next major resource update, targeted for the end of Q3 CY2026.

The company has tested more than 1 kilometre of strike at BMT2 and believes continued drilling could extend the mineralised trend beyond 2 kilometres.

Boundiali development program advances

The results form part of Aurum’s planned 100,000-metre Boundiali drilling program for 2026, which is focused on extending mineralisation, converting unclassified material and increasing confidence in the resource.

Gold mineralisation at the BM deposits remains open along strike and at depth, with follow-up drilling being planned around mineralisation identified outside the current resource.

Aurum is operating 16 company-owned diamond rigs and expects the latest results to be incorporated into a major Boundiali mineral resource update targeted for the end of the September quarter of 2026.

The company is also progressing development studies, with a definitive feasibility study scheduled for late 2026. Aurum had unaudited cash of A$54.7 million at June 30, providing funding to advance drilling, studies and permitting concurrently.

“Our balance sheet remains strong with A$54.7M in cash, enabling us to advance drilling, studies and permitting in parallel. Environmental approval in May and the delivery of the PFS and Maiden Ore Reserve in June have set a clear pathway toward Mining Licences and DFS completion later this year," Wang said.

“Boundiali continues to grow in both scale and confidence, and today’s results reinforce that trajectory. We look forward to reporting further progress on Boundiali exploration and development through the remainder of 2026.”
